As the flagship facility of the NYS Office of Mental Health, this 372,000-sf. facility combines research laboratories and patient-care areas with clinical services, educational programs and administrative support facilities, spread over six floors. Two new pedestrian bridges, spanning 200 feet each, connect the Institute to existing structures across Riverside Drive. The work provided for approximately 40,000 sf. of research space - including 25,000 sf. of fit-out laboratories and 15,000 sf. of shell space for future development. The Institute also includes specialized facilities for specific psychiatric research projects, outpatient clinics, symposium, and tracking facilities.
